Starting with our Super Series riders who were racing The Copper Coast Cup more commonly known as ‘Hell of the North’, a two stage race over the weekend. It began with a road race on Saturday, a grueling 76km for the men and 49km for the women road race around Wallaroo, incorporating around 20kms of gravel. The weekend concluded with a tight technical crit circuit around Moonta.
For the road race on Saturday we were blessed with light winds and blue skys. Most of the groups were reduced with punctures and other mechanicals out on the course.
We’re still waiting for official results and which will be posted in due course, below is what we do know.
Coach Michelle 4th – Category 2 Women and secured the leaders jersey going into race 3
Coach Phil – 5th Masters Category 2 Men

Sunday saw lots of riders roll up with tired legs the racing was fast and furious across all the grades!
Unfortuanely coach Michelle was unable to hold onto the leaders jersey after a crash in group on the final lap forced her of course and unable to catch back on.

Across the Tasman Sam has been improving once again with another cracking ride winning his grade at the State TT series Rd1
In more local racing at the South Australian Masters Cycling association held their State road race championships at Gumeracha.
